Transportation

The closest transportation base to Hita is Fukuoka, the principal gateway to Kyushu from other parts of Japan (Hakata is the old name of Fukuoka). JR Hakata Station and Fukuoka Airport are the major starting points of a journey in Fukuoka. These two points are connected with the Fukuoka City Subway of just 5- or 6-minute ride.

It takes about one hour and a half by express trains from JR Hakata to JR Hita, and it costs 3,090 yen.

Free minibus services will be provided from JR Hita Station to the accommodations, Kamponoyado Hita, in the morning of 6 March 2015. The bus will leave JR Hita Station for Kamponoyado Hita at 10:25, 11:25, 11:45, 12:15 on 6 March 2015. A returning bus service, which will leave Kamponoyado Hita at 12:40 for Kuncho Brewery via JR Hita Station, is available on 8 March 2015. If you take a taxi from JR Hita Station to Kamponoyado Hita, it takes about 10 minutes and costs about 1,000 yen.

The highway bus service from Fukuoka Airport to Hita Bus Terminal, where is very close to JR Hita Station, is also available. It takes about one hour and a half, and the fare is 1,800 yen.
